Each of the three vineyards fruit parcels were kept completely unique throughout the winemaking and maturation period, and only blended to produce the 2018 Squire Shiraz in January 2020. Each wine has been matured in oak for different times. One wine for 10 months, and the other two wines for 14 months each. Both French and American oak Hogshead barrels were part of the maturation program, and barrel selection was a critical element of the blending process whereby only the barrels which were integrated and complete were selected for Squire. Naturally cold stable and only coarse filtration. On bottling this wine received no finings.
