"Clare Valley based Kirrihill produces a smart range of cool-climate wines that draw heavily on some of the region's finest fruit. About 1300 hectares of managed vineyards are the starting point for some cracking wines, the Slate Creek Riesling in particular. With it's bright green edges, it has a lifted nose of musk, ginger, jasmine, and lime and a firm and austere palate that is nicely served by a mass of citrus-tipped fruit and laser-like acidity. Delicious drinking now, but comes with all the required bits to see it live on for yonks."
