2009 Regional Range, Clare Valley "Celestial" Riesling

The idyllic valley and rolling hills of Clare have been considered a single region, when in fact it consists of five. This wine contains Riesling grapes selectively harvested from the Watervale vineyard of the Clare Valley to make the luscious and heavenly dessert wine.

The grapes were harvested in the cool of the night by machine. They were crushed, destemmed and chilled prior to gentle pressing. The free run juice was cool-fermented. Fermentation was stopped to retain the natural sweetness and balance of the fruit flavours which was decided pre-harvest in the vineyard.

With aromas of lemon zest and florals, this wine exhibits flavours of grapefruit, limes and citrus flowers, which is balanced by the natural sugar and acid combination.
