2008 Single Vineyard Series Pinot Grigio (Available August 08)
A beautiful bright, pale straw-yellow in colour with lovely aromas of tart apple, juicy pear and a hint of spice. A restrained, mineral palate with zesty citrus and stone-fruit flavours. This is a crisp and refreshing wine, with delicate yet intense fruit flavours.

2008 Single Vineyard Series Riesling
This wine positively glows in the glass, with a pale yellow colour of brilliant clarity. The nose exhibits classic spicy lemon and lime zest aromas with perfumed scents of orange blossom. The palate is rich and concentrated, yet at the same time fine and delicate. The intensely focussed fruit is supported by mouth-watering acidity. The finish is clean and persistent. Although drinking beautifully now, this is a wine with excellent ageing potential.

2008 Single Vineyard Series Sauvignon Blanc (Available August 08)
Pale straw-yellow in colour with archetypal Sauvignon Blanc aromatics on the nose of cut grass, citrus fruits and tropical fruit scents. There is an abundance of sweet fruit on the palate with pineapple, passionfruit and honeydew melon balanced with herbaeous undertones. The concentrated mid-palate richness leads to a dry finish of considerable length and persistence, with the fruit intensified by a racy acidity.

2006 Single Vineyard Series Cabernet Sauvignon
A vibrant deep red in the glass, this wine shows the classic Clare Cabernet characters of mint, blackcurrant and crushed violets on the nose with enticing cedary notes. The palate features sweet berry and plum fruit, subtly balanced with savoury notes of black olives and liquorice framed by a youthful tannin structure. Although drinking well now, this is a wine that will benefit from cellaring for up to ten years.

2006 Single Vineyard Series Tulach Mor Shiraz
A vibrant deep purple in the glass and a nose bursting with sweet black and red berry fruits, savoury spices and toasty oak. The velvety palate is choc-full of sweet blackberry and plum fruit with hints of chocolate and earthy, exotic spices. Cedary oak is evident but well integrated and the finish is smooth and persistent. Although drinking well now, this is a wine that will benefit from cellaring for between five and ten years.

2006 Single Vineyard Series Shiraz Mourvedre Grenache
This wine is a combination of the three classic southern Rhône varieties that have traditionally been blended to produce soft, rich and flavoursome wines. A harmonious union of Shiraz (45%), Mourvèdre (35%) and Grenache (20%) highlighting the synergy of these three varieties. It exhibits ripe blackberry and green pepper spice characters from the Shiraz and Mourvèdre with sweet cherry fruit and a textural richness from the Grenache. There is a hint of smoky oak on the long, smooth finish. Although drinking well now, this is a wine which will benefit from medium term cellaring.

An attractive lemon-yellow colour in the glass, with hints of green indicating the youthful nature of the wine. The nose is vibrant and zesty, with apricot notes from the Viognier combining with the white peach and melon aromas of the Chardonnay. The palate is supple and fruity, whilst retaining a vibrant, crisp acidity. An excellent drink-now style, with potential for short term bottle maturation.

2008 Companions Riesling Pinot Gris (Available June 08)
An attractive lemon-yellow colour in the glass, with hints of green indicating the youthful nature of the wine. The nose is vibrant and zesty with aromas of lime from the Riesling combined with ripe pear notes from the Pinot Gris. The palate is rich and fruity, with the sweetness of the Pinot Gris balanced by the refreshing acidity of the Riesling. An excellent drink-now style, with potential for short term bottle maturation.

2008 Companions Semillon Sauvignon Blanc (Available June 08)
An attractive lemon-yellow in colour with green hints indicating the youthful nature of the wine. The nose is vibrant and zesty, with green apple and citrus aromas from the Sémillon combined with the riper tropical fruit notes of the Sauvignon Blanc. Added complexity comes from the subtle buttered toast aromas of oak maturation. The palate is vibrant, fresh and fruity making an excellent drink now style of wine. Drinking well now this wine will improve with short term cellaring.

2007 Companions Rose
A vibrant deep pink in colour. The nose is bursting with juicy strawberry and raspberry aromas. The lively palate is full of sweet, red berry fruits, overlaid with a cranberry lift. A crisp and crunchy finish leaves one feeling dry and refreshed.

2006 Companions Cabernet Merlot
A beautiful deep, dark red in colour. The nose shows lifted aromas and strong varietal expression coupled with complex secondary notes from extended barrel maturation. Rich and soft in the mouth, with intense blackcurrant Cabernet flavour supported by the plummy richness from the Merlot. Fine grained tannins leave a soft, velvety impression on the finish which features lingering cassis and cocoa. Although drinking well now, this is a wine which will benefit from medium term cellaring.

2006 Companions Shiraz Viognier
A gorgeous deep purple in colour. An intensely aromatic nose of mulberry, white pepper and nutmeg with the Viognier adding a subtle ginger spice lift. The palate is well balanced and generous bursting with sweet berry fruit and chocolate notes. Smooth tannins frame this powerful wine that lingers long on the palate. Although drinking well now, this is a wine which will benefit from medium term cellaring.
