It's show time!

Early October saw Matt heading off to Japan via the UK, no we didn't think it was on the way either... Another mini tour of Japan took in Osaka, Fukuoka and Tokyo on the Costco wine fair trail. Whilst in Fukuoka he caught up with Sannoh and our friends at Austrade who helped us secure the deal with Sannoh. And yes Matt did get to ride the Bullet Train again...
In a month packed with shows - the Adelaide Wine Show, Tasting Australia and the Clare Valley Wine Show - we were kept on our toes. Matt was an Associate Judge at the Clare Valley Wine Show and enjoyed himself more than his teeth did having judged a flight of more than 50 '07 Rieslings! The icing on the cake was our first gold medal of the year at the Clare Valley Wine Show for our Reserve Riesling '05.
In association with the Clare Valley Winemakers we participated in the Tasting Australia media visit to the Clare Valley. National and international journalists were given an unique insight into what makes the Clare Valley such a special place making world class wines. This was followed by an amazing lunch, cooked by Diana Palmer of Skillogalee, on the verandah at Paulett's overlooking the beautiful Polish Hill River region. Some days are tough...
