On the road again!
30 September 2007
September saw the launch of our new wines in New South Wales and Victoria with back to back dégustation dinners at Neil Perry's Rockpool restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne. Both dinners were packed with a great selection of trade buyers and journalists with everyone enjoying the menu that had been specially matched to our wines. A big thank you to Neil Perry and his team, Danielle and Sarah in particular, for making the launch such a success.
Christian and Trent from Wine Selectors dropped in to catch up and see what we'd been up to this year. They had a sneaky peak at our new Companions Tempranillo Garnacha blend - our twist on a Rioja Crianza - watch this space!
Nobuyo Hinoda from Sannoh Co. in Fukuoka, Japan visited us following Sannoh's president, Shin Oki's visit in July. We put together our first shipment of four Companions wines for the hotel and restaurant trade in Fukuoka.
We welcomed Kim Joong-Kil and his colleagues from South Korea with Andrew and John from our Far East agents extraordinaire, AJ's Wine Australia. We are looking forward to developing South Korea and Taiwan next year.
We also met up with Maggie and her father from WenZhou Shi JinQiu Trade Co. in China who are looking to order our export only Lizards of Oz brand in time for the Chinese New Year.
